All saints eve. It is celebrated on the 31 of October and dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints and martyrs. The tradition focuses on the theme of using humor to confront the power of death.

Well, why is Halloween so popular?!
Typical Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, costume parties, decorating, carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns, lighting bonfires, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, watching horror films and telling scary stories.

About trick-or-treating.
Trick-or-treating is a practice for children on Halloween in many countries. Children in costumes travel from house to house in order to ask for treats such as candy or money with the phrase "Trick or treat!" The "trick" is a threat to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property if no treat is given to them.
The tradition of going from door to door receiving food already existed in Great Britain and Ireland in the form of "souling". (A soul cake is a small round cake which is traditionally made for All Hallows' Eve to commemorate the dead in the Christian tradition.) where children and poor people would sing and say prayers for the dead in return for cakes.

Why do people wear costumes on Halloween?
The practice of wearing costumes on Halloween may have originated in the Celtic festival of Samhain, which was a pre-Christian celebration. It was seen as a time, when the spirits or fairies, and the souls of the dead, could more easily come into our world. After the Christianization of Ireland in the 5th century, some of these customs may have been retained in the Christian ritual of All Hallows' Eve in that region.

Jack o lantern? Who’s that?
It’s not a human! Jack-o'-lantern is a carved pumpkin, associated with the holiday of Halloween and named after the phenomenon of strange light flickering over peat bogs, called jack-o'-lantern. In a jack-o'-lantern, the top is cut off to form a lid and the inside flesh then scooped out; an image, usually a monstrous or comical face. To create the lantern effect, a candle is placed within before the lid is closed. It is common to see jack-o'-lanterns on doorsteps or as decorations during Halloween.
And now… a creepy story.
Hi, My name’s Alice. I grew up in New Mexico and was always very into the outdoors, hiking, camping, rock climbing, etc. One summer when I was 19. I went on a camping trip near my parents' house on my own. Might sound weird but I had been to this area many times and it was quite safe. Anyway I brought my camera and took lots of pictures. When I came back and developed my film, there were 3 extra pictures that I didn't take... of me... sleeping. One each night.
None of my stuff was missing or stolen and nothing happened, but it freaked the hell out of me.
That’s not the scariest story I’ve heard just the shortest one.
This music means the end of my project. I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you and see you later.
